The Blackhawks are looking to put a halt to their seven-game losing streak when they play the Hurricanes in Carolina on Monday evening. This is the second time in less than a week the two teams have played each other.
Chicago began this two-game road trip with a 4-0 loss to the Flyers in Philadelphia on Saturday night. Their last victory came back on Oct. 25, against the New York Rangers.
Patrick Kane continues to lead the Blackhawks in scoring with 12 goals and a total of 21 points. Alex DeBrincat and Jonathan Toews each have eight goals this season.
Carolina has points in two straight games and is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Detroit on Saturday.
Sebastian Aho leads the team in scoring with 20 points (4G, 16A) through 17 games. Teuvo Teravainen is second on the team with 14 points (3G, 11A). Michael Ferland leads the Canes with eight goals.
SEASON SERIES:
In the first meeting of the season on Nov. 8, the Hurricanes got out to 4-0 lead. Kane, David Kampf and Nick Schmaltz all scored for Chicago to make it a one-goal game. However, despite heavy pressure from the Blackhawks, Carolina was able to escape with the 4-3 victory at the United Center.
This will be the final meeting of the season between the two clubs.
