TAMPA -- Andrei Vasilevskiy made 41 saves, and Alex Killorn scored twice when the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-3 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Amalie Arena on Saturday.
The Lightning lead the best-of-7 series 2-0. Game 3 is at New Jersey on Monday.
Nikita Kucherov had a goal and two assists, and Brayden Point had a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who scored four goals on 10 shots in the second period.
"When you look at them, they weren't particularly pretty goals," Killorn said. "A lot of times Kucherov or [Steven] Stamkos is scoring on those shots, but when they don't, me and [J.T.] Miller try to be at the net and cause havoc. On the two that I scored today, I was just in the right place and Kucherov put it in a good spot for me."

Nico Hischier and Sami Vatanen scored for the Devils. Keith Kinkaid allowed five goals on 15 shots and was pulled at 13:12 of the second period for Cory Schneider who made 10 saves.
"We had seen enough pucks go into the back of the net and it's an opportunity for Cory to get in and in a game situation, in a difficult situation," New Jersey coach John Hynes said. "It was good to give him an opportunity to get in there and I thought he came in and made some huge saves, looked good, looked solid, so that's a positive for us moving forward."
Killorn gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead on the power play at 3:14 of the second period after Ben Lovejoy took a delay of game penalty. Tyler Johnson made it 3-1 at 4:36 with a tip-in from the hash marks off a shot by Ryan McDonagh. Kucherov scored for a 4-1 lead when he shot the puck toward the net and Vatanen accidentally kicked it past Kinkaid at 6:01.
